VET courses are based on industry curriculum frameworks that have been developed to provide students with opportunities to gain credit towards their HSC and credit towards national vocational qualifications.
The frameworks offered at BCS are:
- Construction
- Hospitality
- Primary Industries
There is a mandatory work placement of 70 hours throughout the 240 hour courses. The courses available at Braidwood Central School are offered to students in year 11 and year 12. Students can achieve a certificate at the end of each 240 hour course at a statement of attainment at the end of 120 hours.
The frameworks are designed to allow students to acquire a range of skills and to develop key competencies valued both within and beyond the workplace.
